FAQ – Bonus Assignment
If you have a question not listed here, you can email the teachers at 13136-bsy@fel.cvut.cz or ask in Matrix.
❓ How do I submit the report in CTFd?
You must submit your report by pasting the Google Docs link into the designated Bonus submission field in CTFd. Sharing the document alone is not considered a submission.
❓ When is my submission considered final?
Your submission is final only after:
- The Google Doc is shared with all required teachers, and
- The Google Docs link is submitted in CTFd.
❓ What happens if I forget to share with one account?
If any of the required teacher accounts do not have editor access, the submission will not be graded. Teachers will not manually fix sharing permissions.
❓ Does an accepted flag in CTFd guarantee points?
No. Flags are checked automatically, but points are awarded only after manual review of your report. If your steps are missing, unclear, or not reproducible, you may receive fewer points or 0 points.
❓ How detailed does the report need to be?
Your report must contain enough detail so that another person could reproduce your solution using only your report. Include commands, outputs, screenshots, and failed attempts. If there is no evidence, it will be treated as no work.
❓ Can I use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot)?
Yes, but AI usage must be clearly reported and explained in your report. Using AI does not automatically reduce points, but undisclosed AI usage may.
❓ What if I score fewer than 70 points?
If you do not reach 70 points, you must take the regular exam.
❓ Can I collaborate with other students?
No. This is an individual assignment. Evidence of collaboration may result in 0 points.
❓ What timezone is the deadline in?
All deadlines are in CET (Prague time).
